Accounting & Assurance Services

Agreed Upon Procedures

In some cases, a complete audit of financial statements is unnecessary, but an organization still wants some level of confidence that their risk is being managed appropriately. In these cases, an agreed-upon procedures engagement may be sufficient. Examples might include special reviews of loan portfolio or internal control systems. In performing agreed-upon procedures, the auditor provides no opinion, certification, or assurance that the assertions being made in the financial statements are free from material misstatement. The users of reports based on agreed-upon procedures must draw their own conclusions on the results of the tests reported.

These engagements are more limited in scope, but allow you to determine in advance the tests and procedures to be performed, based on your organization’s needs. We will perform these predetermined procedures and report the results in the form of findings. The nature, timing and extent of the agreed-upon procedures will vary, as they are unique to your organization’s requests.

Audits

We view our role in the financial reporting process as an opportunity to provide constructive solutions for maximizing your company's profitability and efficiency. Audits differ from reviews and compilations, as they are an intensive examination of your company's systems and records providing the highest level of assurance. An audit may be required by bankers and potential investors in instances when you are seeking better loan terms, additional capital, buying an organization or selling your company. We understand the importance an audit can mean when making these strategic decisions. Our audits are based on a customized risk assessment, which means that attention is given to areas of greatest financial risk, while minimizing or eliminating efforts in areas presenting little or no risk to the audit or client. The end result is an audit focused on matters important to your business and financial reporting objectives.

Compilation and Reviews

We view our role in the financial reporting process as an opportunity to provide constructive solutions for maximizing your company's profitability and efficiency. Reviews consist of analytically looking at your company financial statements and analyzing the trends and expectations of management. Compilations differ from reviews and audits as they are based upon client information provided and used primarily for internal use only as no assurance is expressed.

Prospective Financial Statements

Business entities need to plan for the future; they must also consider alternative management strategies and prepare capital and operating budgets; they must also consider alternative funding and cash budget possibilities. An important part of the planning process is the preparation of prospective financial statements that attempt to predict the outcome of the business entity's activities in future periods. Financial forecasts and financial projections are prospective financial statements that present an entity's expected financial position, results of operations, and cash flows in future periods under two different conditions.

We can assist you in the preparation of your financial statements in accordance with professional standards. The financial statements produced can be a useful tool for management for making financial decisions.
